Situated in the coastal rainforest of North Vancouver, this 31 unit townhouse development introduces a new typology to the Moodyville neighbourhood. The site dimensions allow for two rows of townhouses oriented north to south, separated by a semi-public space inspired by London’s mews. These slender bright public lane type streets are frequently framed by modest white washed brick structures with inviting entrances and visual connections to building interiors. The character, scale and materiality of this concept precedent influenced the design for this proposal.
